Shane Halley attended the University of Virginia where he was a four-year letterman from 2008-2012. He was a member of the two ACC Championship teams (’09,’11) and UVa’s first two College World Series appearances (’09,’11). Shane was drafted in the 20th round by the Kansas City Royals in the 2012 Major League Baseball’s Amateur Draft. He played with the Royals for two years before being acquired as a free agent by the Colorado Rockies where he played for another two years reaching as high as Triple-A before injuries ended his career. Upon retiring from his playing career, Shane took his baseball expertise to Nanjing, China where he worked for Major League Baseball as a pitching coach. In just two years, Shane produced three Chinese-born pitchers who signed minor league contracts with two Major League organizations (Pirates, Brewers). Shane is currently working with Prime Time Baseball in Alexandria as a pitching/hitting instructor.
